About

I'm Matt Sehlmeyer, owner and travel advisor at Sehlmeyer Travel, a locally owned travel agency I founded in Defiance, Ohio, in 2022.

What I enjoy most about being a travel advisor is getting to know the people behind each trip. I've always loved researching destinations, comparing options, and finding those little details that can make a vacation even better. That passion led me to earn a degree in Travel & Hospitality Management and eventually start my own business.

For me, great travel planning starts with listening, understanding what matters to you, and helping turn your vacation ideas into experiences you'll remember.

At Sehlmeyer Travel, I help travelers throughout Northwest Ohio and across the country plan memorable vacations with personal service, thoughtful research, and honest recommendations.

I specialize in cruises, Caribbean and Mexico all-inclusive resorts, family vacations, Alaska cruises and land tours, Hawaii vacations, honeymoons, group travel, and custom getaways. I help compare the details that matter, including cruise ships and cabins, resort atmosphere, room categories, flights, transfers, excursions, and overall vacation value.

Whether you want me to personally handle the planning or prefer the convenience of searching and booking online, Sehlmeyer Travel offers both options with the reassurance of having a real travel advisor available when you need help.

My goal is simple: help you find the right vacation for your interests, priorities, and budget while making the planning process easier and more enjoyable.
